Jakegate is an independent publication launched December 2023 by Lorax Horne, a Canadian-British journalist. Subscribe to get new issues before anyone else.

The blog was created to collect first-person accounts of experiences with the one-time Wikileaks member and former Tor staffer accused of several counts of rape, Jacob Appelbaum. Lorax met Jacob in June 2013, online, and in November 2013, in person. Lorax's first CCCongress was in 2014, 31c3, A New Dawn. They moved to Berlin in April 2015. They have not spoken in person with Jacob since June 2016. Their last CCC was 33c3 in 2016, Works For Me.
